Pitchfork Music Festival Chicago 2013

For some reason the video screens of the live feed were really low to the ground this year. It made for some amazing photos. The festival is covered by a lot of photographers, so I was drawn to this perspective. As always the music was great. From what I saw Savages and M.I.A. were two of the best performances. I also really enjoyed Woods ( one of my favorites ) and Mac DeMarco. The biggest surprise for me was Belle and Sebastian, and how quiet the crowd was for Joanna Newsome. She got the respect she deserved from a festival crowd, which I did not think was possible. The sad part was the weather cutting the Bjork show short. ( crumbs! ) I had the feeling it was just about to turn into a serious dance party.

April Wedding in Scottsdale Arizona

When a photographer gets married there are cameras everywhere. My friend Daniel Peter was doing the heavy photography, and I added the iphoneography. I love experimenting with the different iphone camera apps to add a timeless beauty and unusual effects to images. Congratulations, Adam and Mary Anne. You both looked fantastic. 18 hours in Old San Juan

I wish we had more time in Old San Juan Puerto Rico. It is full of light, music, tourists, cruise ships, and trinkets. They all meld perfectly with the old world walls and architecture of 17th Century Spain. Photos taken January 2013.
